Mulina, published in 2012, deals with the fate of Poles exiled to Western Siberia after the January Uprising. The author has studied the stories of over 4,000 exiles. She devotes most attention to the issue of the Poles’ adaptation. According to the Omsk scholar, those who established the closest ties with the indigenous Siberian population were people engaging in economic activity, simply because they had contacts with the local communities almost every day. The second book is a result of a collaboration between A. Mulina and Anna A. Krikh. The dictionary is another important step in exploring the history of Polish exiles in Siberia.
